Dec 2, 2012 - Performing by thinking about performing was one of the themes of this final performance of the Schimpfluch Carnival. GX Jupitter-Larsen, Joke Lanz, Rudolf Eb.er, and Mike Dando were sitting on stage amplifying brainwaves. They used wireless electroencephalographic sensors that contented to laptops off stage. A sonfication patch, developed by Mick Grierson, translated the data stream to an audio signal. Rashad Becker mixed this signal into a wide spectrum of beeps, blasts, and blares that beset the bedazzled audience. Rudolf entitled the performance "Wellenfeld" in honor of Urs Schwaller. Richard Whitelaw was the performance coordinator. Hear an excerpt HERE .

Schimpfluch Carnival (2012)
Nov 30, 2012 - It was the first night of the Extreme Rituals Schimpfluch Carnival in Bristol, and GX Jupitter-Larsen performed with The New Blockaders. Three members of The New Blockaders were on stage severing, chopping, and ripping metal and junk. GX was above in a side balcony overlooking the stage. GX rubbed an amplified shovel against the balcony railing. The mostly high pitched crackling from The New Blockaders was in contrast to the mostly low end grinding by GX. The audience was ecstatic.

wow-this is pretty interesting. Ive been thinking about creativity a lot lately, is it neo-fluxus to use yr life as a canvas, or is just life as a canvas? There's a guy that does bad paintings here, he calls himself a "folk" artist. But how can a folk artist call himself a "folk" artist and be a "folk" artist? Sent u some stuff last night. Yeah, this is pretty good man. Anyway, good luck on tour, my best to your old lady.
Life is a canvas. Period.
